Wilkes-Barre Man Pleaded No Contest To Child Sex Charges

March 12, 2019

WILKES-BARRE — A Wilkes-Barre man snared in an online sting operation by the Attorney General’s Office pleaded no contest Monday to child sex charges. Ryan Brislin, 36, of Willow Street, pleaded no contest to felony counts of unlawful contact with a minor, criminal attempt to commit statutory sexual assault and criminal use of a communication facility. Brislin was one of five “child predators” arrested last April as part of a roundup by the Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section. Prosecutors say he and the others solicited sex from undercover agents posing as 14-year-old children. Brislin was arrested after arriving at an agreed-upon meeting location, prosecutors said. Sentencing was set for July 1. — JAMES HALPIN
