Orangemen tennis defeats Ralston
RALSTON -- The Beatrice tennis team narrowly defeated Ralston 5-4 in a make-up dual in Ralston.
The Roangemen won two out of three doubles matches against the Rams. The No. 2 team of Colt Dittbrenner and Max Meyer won their match 8-3 while the No. 2 duo of Nicholas Crandall and Connor Freitag won 8-2.
The No. 1 team of Zack Zimmerman and Dawson Saathoff suffered an 8-4 loss.
In singles play, Beatrice was able to split with Ralston 3-3. In No. 1 singles, Crandall defeated his opponent 8-3 while No. 5 singles player Max Meyer won his match 8-3. In No. 6 singles, Zimmerman won 8-6.
In No. 2 singles, Freitag fell 8-0 while Dittbrenner lost at No. 3 singles 8-3. At No. 4 singles, Saathoff fell 8-3.
Beatrice is now 2-2 on the season in dual action. They traveled to the Lincoln East Invite on Monday. For those results, see a future edition of the Daily Sun.
