Maine ag festival season ends with last day of Fryeburg Fair
FRYEBURG, Maine (AP) — Maine’s summer and fall agricultural fair season is coming to close with the last day of the Fryeburg Fair.
The state’s ag fairs begin in late June every year and run until early October, with stops all over the state. The schedule includes the organic and homesteading focused Common Ground Country Fair and some big draws such as the Bangor State Fair.
The Fryeburg Fair ends on Sunday. It includes horse and ox pulling, livestock events and truck and tractor pulls. The fair has been around since the 1850s and is one of the biggest events in the state.
