Klosterman stepping down as President/CEO at Faith Regional

NORFOLK - The Board of Directors of Faith Regional Health Services and the Lutheran Community Hospital Association Board of Directors accepted the resignation submitted by Mark Klosterman, President and Chief Executive Officer, on Monday.

Klosterman was appointed President and CEO of Faith Regional in 2014.

Mr. Klosterman has led the organization in a variety of growth initiatives, quality achievements and investments in the health and wellness of the region that has shaped the organization from a community hospital to a leading health system in northeast Nebraska. While his accomplishments during his tenure at Faith Regional are many, highlights include increased cultural engagement, continued service line development, expanding regional partnerships with other health systems, numerous national awards for quality and patient care, navigating the hospital through a new Electronic Medical Records system selection, evolving the development of leaders including physicians, and improved access to care with the opening of 20 clinics, surgery expansion, relocation of the behavior health unit, construction of the new south medical office building and the expansion of specialties offered in conjunction with recruitment of 44 physicians and 54 advanced care practitioners.

“It has been a privilege to collaborate with and develop the team at Faith Regional. The success we have achieved as an organization has been truly remarkable and has set the organization up for additional success in the future,” Klosterman stated. “Faith Regional is fortunate to have a talented and dedicated leadership team who will continue to lead the organization on its strategic vision forward.”

“The vision and execution of strategic initiatives by Mark were instrumental in the accomplishments achieved by Faith Regional over the last four years. More patients in the region have chosen Faith Regional to access nationally recognized patient care. Mark has set a course for the organization for continued success and financial strength,” commented Craig Boche, President of the LCHA. “We appreciate all that he has done during his time here and we will continue forward with the momentum he and the leadership team have established.”

“Mark’s expertise in growing key services to benefit the region has placed Faith Regional in a position for continued growth and excellence in patient care close to home,” said John Dinkel, Faith Regional Health Services’ Board Chair. “The Board of Directors thank him for his efforts and commitment to our organization and we wish him well in his next endeavor.”

Kelly Driscoll, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Faith Regional Health Services will serve as the interim CEO and President.
