June 8, 2018

ATLANTA, June 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sage (FTSE:SGE), the market leader in cloud business management solutions, today announced that Gartner has recognized Sage Intacct, a solution available in Sage Business Cloud, in its May report. Sage Intacct scored the highest product score (4.14 out of five) for Core Financials for the Lower Midsize Enterprises use case in the 2018 Gartner report Critical Capabilities for Cloud Core Financial Management Suites for Midsize, Large, and Global Enterprises1.

Gartner, a leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry, defines lower midsize enterprises as “organizations with annual revenue of between $50 million to $500 million, and that have a headquarters and the majority of their operations in a single country.”

Sage Intacct Recognized in a 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant

As a companion to the Critical Capabilities report, Gartner also released its 2018 Magic Quadrant for Cloud Core Financial Management Suites for Midsize, Large, and Global Enterprises2. In the report, Sage Intacct was recognized by Gartner.

Sage Intacct, named after Sage’s acquisition of Intacct in 2017, was named as a Visionary. Sage Intacct’s placement in the Visionaries quadrant is based on Gartner’s assessment of the company’s completeness of vision and ability to execute.

In addition, Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management (formerly X3) received an Honorable Mention in the Magic Quadrant report. This solution is expected to grow its market presence in 2018.

“Sage Intacct, our award-winning cloud financial management software, delivers the automation and controls around billing, accounting, and reporting that finance needs to increase productivity and stay audit-ready,” said Ron McMurtrie, CMO, Sage. “We invest heavily in product innovation and support to ensure Sage is a vehicle for growth for our customers. We feel that Gartner’s findings reinforce our innovation leadership in this segment, and the value we bring to our customers.”

Why Sage Intacct for Midsized Companies?Sage believes its scores reflect the success of its customers and partners. Sage Intacct is the only preferred provider of financial applications by the AICPA and has companies on the system with more than 3,500 users, more than 625 entities, or more than 1.8 million customers. Further showcasing the scale of the system, top customers run businesses managing more than one million transactions per month, 17 million in-flight revenue recognition schedules, or entities spread across more than 100 countries.

Long-time customer Skytap, an innovative public cloud provider, has achieved great success since deploying Sage Intacct. A global cloud provider and named one of the Inc. 5000 fastest growing private companies in 2015 and 2016, Skytap has expanded operations to include more than a dozen locations worldwide.

“Having grown rapidly, we’ve found that Sage Intacct’s audit-ready, multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation capabilities can easily meet our current needs and still be flexible enough for more complex transactions and issues that may arise as our company continues to scale,” said Frank Colich, CFO, Skytap. “Because of the efficiency and visibility, we have in Sage Intacct, I’ve been able to provide more strategic value to the company versus spending most of my time on our day-to-day accounting complexities. I can now focus more on business planning with our CEO and board members, and work more with our sales team on major deals.”
