Man facing manslaughter after 2 men die in Phoenix car crash
PHOENIX (AP) — Authorities say a man has been arrested for manslaughter and endangerment after two men were found dead in Phoenix after a car crash.
Phoenix police say 22-year-old Thomas Sikes is jailed on a $500,000 bond. He doesn’t have a lawyer yet.
He’s accused of leaving the scene of the deadly crash early Sunday near State Route 143 and Interstate 10.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say a man told them he had been a passenger in Sikes’ car and two other men had been in the back seat when the car crashed.
The man says he and Sikes left the scene and the other two men were dead.
DPS officials say the two bodies were later found near the crash scene and they appeared to be covered with foliage.
