According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A 47-year-old Aiken woman called police Monday claiming someone had broken into a Hahn Avenue residence she was staying at and remodeling for the owner. She said a microwave was missing from inside the home.

A 65-year-old Aiken man reported Monday someone broke into his vehicle while it was parked outside his Woodhilll Place home. He told officers his black iPhone was stolen.

Officers charged a man Tuesday morning with avoiding a traffic control device after he was seen driving through a restaurant parking lot on Whiskey Road in an attempt to avoid a traffic light. The man’s passenger was arrested for an outstanding warrant in Edgefield County.

A man was charged with simple possession of marijuana Tuesday morning after officers found a bag containing a green leafy substance inside his vehicle during a traffic stop on Pine Log Road in Aiken.

A 65-year-old Aiken man called police Tuesday claiming an acquaintance of his had stolen $200 in cash off the table at his Aiken Lane residence. The victim said he had allowed the woman inside to use the bathroom and found the money missing after she left
