Thomas Swartz scored a career-high 34 points as Marywood University earned its first win over Cabrini College in nearly eight years, 78-74, on Wednesday.

Swartz shot 12 of 17 from the floor, including 5 of 7 on 3-pointers for the Pacers (10-5) and also had 15 rebounds. Cabrini trailed by two points with 1:16 left, but Marywood scored six straight for its first win against Cabrini since Jan. 10, 2011.

Tone Cockrell and Jack Degroot each scored 13 points for the Pacers.

Moravian 80, Scranton 67

At Bethlehem, Moravian College held off a second-half rally to earn a win.

The Greyhounds led by 15 in the second half before the Royals went on a 17-5 run. Moravian answered with a quick, 7-0 spurt and then shot 5 for 6 from the free-throw line in the final minute.

Scranton Prep graduate Logan Bailey had 35 points and 11 rebounds for Scranton (12-2). Honesdale graduate Nick Casazza had 16 points for Moravian.

Misericordia 76, Delaware Valley 66

At Dallas, Mid Valley graduate Jason Kenny scored 30 points to lead Misericordia University.

Stone McCreary hit two 3-pointers as part of an 11-0 run for the Cougars late in the first half to take a 38-29 halftime lead.

Lakeland graduate Tony Harding added 13 points for Misericordia (8-6).

DeSales 97, Wilkes 85

At Center Valley, DeSales University used a big run midway through the second half to earn a win.

The Bulldogs erased a seven-point halftime deficit and took control with a 22-3 run over a six-minute span.

Tommy Bowen scored a career-high 31 points for Wilkes (10-4) and Marcus Robinson hit six 3-pointers and scored 25 points.

Manhattanville 80, King’s 65

At Purchase, New York, Manhattanville College built a 28-point halftime lead to cruise to a win.

Mid Valley graduate Noah Tanner scored 16 points for King’s (2-12), Mid Valley graduate J.J. Glinsky had 14 points.

PSU-Hazleton 88, PSU-Scranton 85

At Dunmore, Brandon Mohammed had 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead Penn State Hazleton.

Arel Lamour had 27 points and 11 rebounds for Scranton (2-8) and London Jeter scored 23 points.

Women’s basketball

Makenzie Mason scored 17 points to lead the University of Scranton to a 72-45 win over Moravian College.

The Lady Royals (14-0) held Moravian to 19 percent shooting in the first half to build a 13-point halftime lead.

Sofia Recupero and Dunmore graduate Emily Sheehan each scored 12 points for Scranton.

Cabrini 75, Marywood 45

At Radnor, Katie Lennon scored 19 points to lead Cabrini University.

The Cavaliers held Marywood to 25 percent shooting in the game and led 39-14 at halftime.

Honesdale graduate Natasha Hessling had eight points and 13 rebounds for Marywood (5-9).

Misericordia 76, Delaware Valley 41

At Dallas, Tessa Zamolyi scored 19 points as Misericordia University won its 14th straight game.

The Cougars (14-0) opened the game on a 19-3 run.

Japriya Carroll had 18 points for Misericordia.

DeSales 86, Wilkes 46

At Center Valley, Averi Jordan scored 16 points as DeSales University rolled to a win.

The Bulldogs held Wilkes to 4 of 29 shooting in the first half to build a 42-20 lead.

Gianna Roberts scored 10 points for Wilkes (4-8). Scranton Prep graduate Bridget Walsh had eight points and 11 rebounds for DeSales and Honesdale graduate Morgan Birmelin had 12 assists.

Manhattanville 66, King’s 60

At Purchase, New York, Manhattanville College closed the game on an 11-5 run to earn a win.

Rebecca Prociak, Samantha Rajza and Alexis Steeber each scored 15 points for King’s (7-7).

PSU-Scranton 82, PSU-Hazleton 63

At Dunmore, Danielle Powell led five players in double figures with 19 points and also had 10 rebounds to lead Penn State Scranton.

North Pocono graduate Rachel Lewis and Delaware Valley graduate Jenna Pacella each had 15 points for Scranton (4-7), North Pocono graduate Monique Hicks had 14 points and Wallenpaupack graduate Tabitha Boyd had 11 points while Western Wayne graduate Jess Berger had 18 rebounds.
