Sheriff’s deputies ask for help to locate missing teen

FLORENCE, S.C. -- Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance to locate a missing Florence County teen.

“Javonte Jamain Taylor, 13, went missing from his East Old Marion Highway residence early this morning,” Maj. Mike Nunn, Florence County Sheriff’s Office, wrote in a release on the missing teen.

He is described as a black male, approximately 5’8” tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds with long hair, according to the release.

Anyone with knowledge or information regarding the whereabouts of Taylor is asked to contact Investigators at (843) 665-2121, ext. 377, Crime Stoppers of the Pee Dee at 1-888-CRIME-SC or “Submit-A-Tip” on the Florence County Sheriff’s Office free app for iPhone or Android telephones. You do not have to reveal your identity to leave information.
