Romney to return to NH, campaign with Brown
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is scheduled to make his second trip to New Hampshire to campaign with Scott Brown.
A Republican with knowledge of the event says Romney will campaign with Brown on Oct. 15. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because details of the event have not been made public.
Romney first campaigned with Brown in July. His second trip comes the day before former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to headline the state Democratic party’s annual dinner. Romney and Clinton are coveted surrogates this fall and have campaigned for candidates across the country. Republicans are trying to regain control of the Senate.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will campaign with U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, Brown’s opponent, and Gov. Maggie Hassan on Nov. 2.
