Perceptive Automata joins Renovo’s AWare Ecosystem Bringing Human Behavior Prediction AI for Automated Vehicles

August 29, 2018

BOSTON and CAMPBELL, Calif., Aug. 29, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Perceptive Automata, the leading provider of human behavior prediction software for machines, today announced it has joined the AWare ecosystem of Renovo, a mobility software technology company. Automated mobility fleet deployments using Renovo’s AWare OS can now gain access to Perceptive Automata’s critically important algorithms to enable the safer deployment of automated vehicles and a smoother ride experience for passengers of automated mobility services.

Perceptive Automata has solved one of the hardest problems for automated driving: understanding human state of mind. Perceptive Automata’s AI gives automated vehicles the ability to anticipate what people might do next so they can navigate safely and smoothly in road environments with pedestrians, cyclists, and other drivers. Perceptive Automata is working globally with OEMs, suppliers, and tech companies that are developing or integrating ADAS (L2/3) and/or Autonomous Driving Systems (L4/5) to accelerate their time to market.

“We chose to integrate with the AWare OS platform because of Renovo’s focus on deployment at scale and access to the growing number of fleets running AWare,” said Sid Misra, CEO and Co-Founder of Perceptive Automata. “We share Renovo’s vision of an ecosystem where best-in-class technologies seamlessly integrate to enable the safe large-scale deployment of automated mobility solutions that are suitable for the real world.”

“Perceptive Automata is the leading developer of critically important human behavior prediction AI for automated vehicles, and we are delighted that they are now part of the AWare ecosystem,” said Chris Heiser, CEO and Co-Founder of Renovo. “We enable our customers to develop and deploy fleets of fully automated vehicles that is made possible by an open ecosystem of best-in-class technologies like that of Perceptive Automata.”

Perceptive Automata joins the AWare ecosystem along with a growing list of leading companies in the automated mobility sector including Affectiva, Argus Cyber Security, BestMile, CARMERA, Civil Maps, EdgeConneX, INRIX, Metamoto, NIRA Dynamics, Parsons, Phantom.auto, Samsung, Silexica, Speak With Me, Stanford University, understand.ai, Velodyne LiDAR, and Verizon.

About Perceptive AutomataPerceptive Automata is solving one of the hardest problems for automated driving: human state of mind prediction for the safe large-scale rollout of highly automated vehicles (L2/3) and fully autonomous driving systems (L4/5). Perceptive Automata enables automated systems to anticipate what people might do next so they can navigate safely and smoothly around humans, including pedestrians, cyclists, and other drivers. This is essential for autonomous systems to safely and seamlessly integrate into a human-dominated road environment and to enable a smooth ride experience for passengers of automated mobility services.
