BEDMINSTER — As rain dumped on his golf club, President Donald Trump raged on Saturday, lashing out at his Justice Department on Twitter before welcoming members of a “Bikers for Trump” fan group to the manicured grounds. By Jill Colvin and Jeff Horwitz. SENT: About 780 words.
VINELAND — When Miguel Figueroa saw how his daughter, Illiana, was into watching people’s shows on YouTube, he suggested she do one of her own, but was shocked when Illiana told him she couldn’t. Why? Because she has autism. “I didn’t know where this was coming from. I started thinking maybe someone at school told her that,” he said. “It really broke my heart.” To show Illiana that having autism spectrum disorder shouldn’t hold her or others back from pursuing their goals, Figueroa created a studio in his basement where the duo launched “Toy Quest 101,” a YouTube show dedicated to spreading awareness and empowerment to kids with special needs through a love of toys and pop culture. By Nicole Leonard, The Press of Atlantic City. SENT: About 690 words.
