$100 bills usually don’t have big pink Chinese characters on them.

Police in Des Moines, Wash., were called to a supermarket when a woman attempted to buy a $5,000 prepaid Visa card with $4,900 in counterfeit $100 bills on Wednesday, according to KOMO News.

What gave away the fake bills? The bills all had the same serial number and had big pink Chinese characters on them.

The Des Moines police posted photos of the fakes to Twitter with some tips:

“Although the counterfeit currency is of fair quality, there are markings on the bills making one realize the funds are not legit,” said Sgt. Dave Mohr with Des Moines Police told KOMO News.

Police are investigating.
