LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) _ A boat collided with another vessel driven by a man police said had been drinking, killing two people and injuring five others, four seriously.

The man charged with operating a watercraft while under the influence of alcohol and his three passengers were thrown from their 19-foot boat into Lake Havasu on Sunday, but were not injured, the Mohave County Sheriff's Department said.

The dead were identified as Molly Lynn Roberts, 30, of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Karen Butcher, 20, of San Bernardino, Calif., said Sgt. Robert Kuerner.

Four of the injured aboard the 21-foot boat suffered head injuries and were flown to Good Samaritan Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, said Kuerner. Two were in critical condition and two were listed as serious.

The fifth passenger was listed in satisfactory condition at a Havasu City hospital.

Carl Bruce Hacker of Anaheim, Calif., was cited for operating a watercraft while under the influence of an intoxicating beverage, Kuerner said.
