Meeting set to discuss Sedro-Woolley library
The city of Sedro-Woolley and the Central Skagit Library will host a meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday to discuss plans taking shape for the Sedro-Woolley area’s future library.
The meeting will take place at City Hall, 325 Metcalf St., prior to the City Council’s regular meeting at 7 p.m.
SHKS Architects will present its latest design for the new library.
Following the presentation, SHKS Architects will have staff available to take comments and questions from community members.
The design is 90 percent complete, according to the city’s meeting notice.
The new library will be built at 100 W. State St.
Design was 30 percent complete and shared for public comment in June. At that time, there was some distaste expressed for the exterior appearance of the proposed building, as well as some opposition to the proposed amount of space for group activities.
