_ Saudi Arabia cuts ties with Taliban government, saying Afghan leaders were defaming Islam by harboring and supporting terrorists.
_ Osama bin Laden’s organization makes fresh call to arms, saying ``wherever there are Americans and Jews, they will be targeted.″
_ Russian President Vladimir Putin holds talks with German leaders and calls for the ``complete ideological and political isolation″ of terrorists.
