LOS ANGELES (AP) — Police are searching for a motorist who ran from the scene of a hit-and-run crash that killed two men in Los Angeles.

Officer Mike Lopez says a truck slammed into another vehicle around 1:15 a.m. Sunday in the Highland Park neighborhood north of downtown.

Lopez says both occupants of the vehicle that was struck died at the scene. They were described only as men in their 20s.

Lopez says the driver of the truck fled on foot.
