Sweeping vehicle windows proves to be a minor inconvenience as a thin layer of snow blankets the downtown area Friday in Huntington.

HUNTINGTON — The Tri-State woke up to a blanket of snow covering the ground Friday after early-morning snow showers resulted in about an inch of accumulation.

The snow showers dissolved into rain throughout the day.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday is expected to see an 80 percent chance of rain, mostly after 3 p.m., with a high near 58 degrees. A thunderstorm is possible before midnight, and showers are likely until 3 a.m.
