An Omaha man died in a one-vehicle crash late Sunday
A 26-year-old Omaha man died late Sunday when his car struck a tree near 46th and Bancroft Streets.
Melkin I. Rivera Espinoza was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. He was about six blocks from home when the crash occurred at 11:39 p.m.
Investigators determined that Rivera Espinoza was driving a 1992 Toyota Corolla westbound on Bancroft when the vehicle left the road and struck a large tree in front of 4675 Bancroft St. Rivera Espinoza was alone at the time of the collision.
Rivera Espinoza was not wearing a seat belt. Police are working to determine the cause of the crash.
