Families brave cold weather for Hot Cocoa Hike in Huntington
HUNTINGTON — As a light snow fell Saturday morning, a group of Huntingtonian families ventured into the woods behind the Huntington Museum of Art for the Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District’s Hot Cocoa Hike.
Beginning on the nature trails behind the museum, GHPRD staff led the group on the two-mile hike.
Following the exercise was a nature-themed craft at the museum and, of course, hot chocolate and cookies.
The next GHPRD event is the father-daughter Valentine’s Day dance at the Pullman Plaza Hotel beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2. Tickets are $25 a couple and include snacks, plus a chocolate fountain, and a photo booth picture. Each daughter will receive a rose at the end of the night.
