Comcast, Amazon to launch Prime Video on Xfinity X1
Comcast and Amazon announced an agreement to launch Prime Video on Comcast’s Xfinity X1, giving Xfinity TV customers access to thousands of additional premium shows and movies over the internet.
It marks the first time Amazon Prime Video content would be integrated on a Multichannel Video Programming Distributor (MVPD) platform in the United States.
“This integration will come at no extra cost to X1 customers, as long as they already have an Amazon Prime account,” said Savannah Isner, senior public relations specialist with Comcast.
The Amazon Prime Video app is expected to launch on X1 later this year, the release said. For more information about X1, customers can visit www.xfinity.com/X1.
