Arrest yields drugs, stolen gun
A man wanted by police was arrested after drugs and vape cartridges containing THC were found in a home.
Just after 4 p.m. Saturday, detectives watched David Goodman of Fort Wayne go into a house in the 2600 block of Bowser Avenue, Fort Wayne police said.
Detectives surrounded the house and used a flash bang to get Goodman to come out, police said.
Police took Goodman into custody when they smelled marijuana inside the home.
After getting permission from the primary resident, detectives searched the home and found 164 vape cartridges containing THC with a street value of around $8,200, a digital scale, unused plastic bags and empty containers police suspected had contained marijuana, police said.
A Sig Sauer 9 mm gun was also found. The gun had been reported stolen in a burglary in 2017, police said.
Goodman had two felony warrants charging him with dealing marijuana and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon. He also faced two misdemeanor warrants.
