At Tokyo Dome, Kip Gross (13-11) scattered seven hits for his third straight victory as the Nippon Ham Fighters beat the Seibu Lions 5-0.
Terry Bross (10-5) pitched a four-hitter and Hensley Muelens went 3-for-4, including two home runs, driving in six runs as the Yakult Swallows beat the Chunichi Dragons 7-1. Muelens has 24 homers.
SHIMA, Japan (AP) _ Kazuhiko Hosokawa fired a 67 Saturday and held to his one-shot lead after three rounds of the $1.02 million Hisamitsu-KBC Augusta Golf Tournament.
The 24-year-old Hosokawa, who has yet to win in his three-year pro career, is 14-under-par at 202 for 54 holes.
In second place was Frankie Minoza of the Philippines, who turned in a 67.
Tomohiro Maruyama and Hideki Kase were another shot back at 204. Maruyama had a 67 and Kase a 68.
American Todd Hamilton, who shot the day’s best score, a 66, was tied at 205.
SHIBAYAMA, Japan (AP) _ New Zealand’s Marnie McGuire fired a 4-under-par 68 on Saturday and took a one-shot lead after two rounds of the Goyo Kensetsu Ladies Cup with a 137 total.
At 138 was Chikayo Yamazaki, who had a 69.
TAPEI, Taiwan (AP) _ The United States women’s volleyball team beat winless Germany 3-0 in the World Grand Prix Tournament on Saturday night to improve its record to 4-1.
The Americans won 15-4, 15-6, 15-6 for their first shutout.
Bev Oden and Danielle Scott each had 11 kills.
Cuba remained unbeaten and improved to 5-0 with a 3-1 victory over South Korea in Jakarta, Indonesia.

LONDON (AP) _ Defender Alan Stubbs scored the winner with 10 minutes to go as promoted Bolton upset champion Blackburn Rovers 2-1 in the English Premier League Saturday. The loss was the second in four days for the Rovers.
Manchester United, runnerup last season, swept to its second win in a row by downing Wimbledon 3-1. Leeds became the only club with three victories in three games by downing Aston Villa 2-0.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) _ The Tampa Bay Devil Rays signed the Butte, Mont., Copper Kings as their first minor-league affiliate.
The Devil Rays, who make their major league debut in 1998, have a one-year deal with the Pioneer League club.
Tampa Bay will send about 30 of its rookie draftees to Butte for a 72-game season that starts next June.
