Casella: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) _ Casella Waste Systems Inc. (CWST) on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $1.7 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Rutland, Vermont-based company said it had profit of 4 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 22 cents per share.
The results matched Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 22 cents per share.
The provider of garbage-disposal and recycling services posted revenue of $165.6 million in the period.
Casella expects full-year revenue in the range of $630 million to $640 million.
Casella shares have increased 22 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $28.10, an increase of 69 percent in the last 12 months.
