February 14, 2019

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wintry weather has closed Interstate 80 across much of Wyoming.

The road is closed in both directions from Rawlins to Rock Springs and eastbound from Evanston to U.S. 189. The Wyoming Department of Transportation says those sections of highway are unlikely to reopen until Thursday night.

Other roads closed due to snow and blowing snow include Wyoming 28 from Lander to Farson, Wyoming 789 north of Baggs, U.S. 287 north of Rawlins and U.S. 30 from Bosler to Walcott Junction.

The National Weather Service expects snow to continue in western Wyoming through Thursday and in the mountains through Friday.
