Proposed apartment complex step closer to reality

January 11, 2019

NORFOLK - A proposed apartment complex known as Victory Village cleared another hurdle at Monday’s Norfolk City Council meeting.

City Planner Val Grimes said the proposed complex is set to be constructed on property located a quarter mile north of the intersection of South Victory Road and East Omaha Avenue.

Grimes said there aren’t any changes from the preliminary development that was approved a month ago.

Councilman Jim Lange said he’s happy to have the project in a planned development that way if any changes are needed, the developer needs to come to the council for approval.

The council voted to approve the final planned development and the final plat on all three readings by a vote of 7 to 1 with Councilman Fred Wiebelhaus voting against.
