Police: Man shot to death after trying to break up fight
HIGH POINT, N.C. (AP) — Police in North Carolina have filed charges against a man who they say shot another man trying to break up a fight at an intersection.
High Point police said in a news release that investigators determined the brother of 38-year-old Rayshun Terry had been involved in the fight he was trying to stop early Friday. Investigators said the suspect fired multiple shots into a crowd which had gathered in the road, and one of the shots hit Terry, who died at a local hospital.
The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force arrested 19-year-old Cinciere Turner and charged him with first-degree murder. Turner was to be taken before a magistrate on Friday for a bond hearing and a court date. It’s not known if he has an attorney.
