Today’s game RailRiders (57-51) vs. Buffalo (48-59), PNC Field, 7:05 p.m. Off the rails ■ The Yankees officially called up 1B Luke Voit and RHP Luis Cessa on Thursday, wanting Voit’s right-handed bat in the lineup against the Red Sox and needing Cessa to start in J.A. Happ’s spot in the rotation. At least, that was before they needed Cessa for mop-up duty Thursday. Happ was placed on the disabled list (retroactive to July 30) with hand, foot and mouth disease. Voit played just two games with the RailRiders after being acquired from the Cardinals for Giovanny Gallegos and Chasen Shreve. He was 1 for 7 with SWB. UT Tyler Wade was sent down to SWB to make room for Voit and the RailRiders added 1B Ryan McBroom and RHP David Sosebee from Double-A Trenton. The son of the new Hall of Famer is the No. 1 prospect in baseball according to MLB.com and Baseball America, and is Fangraphs’ No. 2 prospect. ... OF Billy McKinney is 7 for 27 with two doubles in eight games with Buffalo since being part of the J.A. Happ trade. McKinney, 23, had 13 home runs in 56 games with the RailRiders this season. ...
