Ludington City Council to interview city manager candidates Thursday

January 24, 2019

The Ludington City Council will interview three candidates for the job of city manager during a special, public meeting Thursday afternoon at city hall.

The order in which the candidates — Mitch Foster, James “Toby” Van Ess and Patrick Reagan — will be interviewed was chosen randomly, said City Clerk Deborah Luskin. Each interview is expected to last from 60 to 90 minutes. The interviews will be open to the public and recorded on video.

After the meeting opens at 3:30 p.m., there will be a public comment period, and then some pre-interview discussions for the council to plan interview questions and procedure.

The first interview will be with Foster starting at 4 p.m., then with Van Ess at 6 p.m., and finally with Reagan at 7:30 p.m., with short recesses held in between, Luskin said.
