John Romanoff: Hometown gig at Randall’s

January 29, 2019

Comic John Romanoff performs all over Southern Connecticut (and beyond), having won the Funniest Comic in New England contest several years ago.

After that, he was in another contest and the newspaper headline was “West Haven comic gets shot at ‘Last Comix Standing’ Sunday night” and the comic couldn’t resist needling us when we confirmed the gig on Facebook by saying, “Don’t shoot me this time, LOL.”

On Saturday, Feb. 9, he will helm a laugh-out-loud show in his hometown, at Randall’s in West Haven, with Romanoff talking about funny situations, his family, possibly his imposing size and other fertile comedic ground.

The Treehouse Comedy showcase will also see Romanoff turning over the mic to Stephen Arenholz, Jimmy Blair, Stephanie Bass, Giancarlo Biondino, Derek Carrafa, Mae Planert, Sam Hunter, Ricci Hector, Cliff Mula, Adrian Alvarado and Daniel Perrault, according to a Treehouse release.

Randall’s Restaurant, 236 Platt Ave., West Haven. Saturday, Feb. 9, 8 p.m. $19.50. 203-230-8700. TreehouseComedy.com
