Tomball chamber seeks to name the 2018 Citizen of the Year
The Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for Citizen of the Year.
The chamber is currently accepting applications until Friday, Dec. 7.
“It’s for someone who has made an outstanding contribution. They should live or work in Tomball,” said Amy Mason, communications director for the chamber.
In 2017, the chamber honored retired banker Steven Vaughan as the citizen of the year for his contributions in helping creating the Tomball Economic Development Corp., which helps attract businesses to the area.
The nominees should have made volunteering contributions in civic, community or professional service, Mason said.
The selection committee is expected to choose a nomination before Jan. 1 and the nominee will be honored at the Chairman’s Ball, hosted by the chamber.
