Steven ‘Zeke’ Zoellick

Steven “Zeke” Zoellick, 66, of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at Aurora Hospital in Summit surrounded by his family. He was known as a giving person and even in death, his giving continues as his donation of tissues will touch the lives of as many as 50 people. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Steven Charles Zoellick was born on March 24, 1952, to Charles and Delores (nee Else) Zoellick in Watertown. He attended St. Mark’s Grade School before graduating from Watertown High School in 1970. Zeke was employed as a semi-driver for Honk Trucking for 40+ years and was still working there part time. He enjoyed camping, antique tractors and NASCAR. He had a passion for building and restoring muscle cars. Always in search of making a good deal, he enjoyed going to auctions and swap meets. Steve also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He took pride in caring for his parents during their golden years. Zeke would be the first to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Steve is survived by his parents, Charles and Delores Zoellick; fiancée and love of his life, Donna “Blondie” Riesen; his children, Brad (fiancée Casie Adkins) Zoellick, Jodi (fiancé Jay Pirkel) Zoellick; grandchildren, Hannah, Cole, Sawyer; loyal companion, Zoey; and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. Karl Walther officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church from noon until the time of service. Innichement will take place at Lutheran Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church or the family.
