Sheriff’s office looks for driver in hit-and-run
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in finding the driver responsible for a hit-and-run crash early Saturday.
About 1 a.m., an unknown vehicle, possibly red, struck a bicyclist in the 2800 block of Hillegas Road, just south of Butler Road, the sheriff’s department said Tuesday.
The victim was left lying in the road in critical condition, police said. They believe the vehicle may have headed north after fleeing the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s department’s detective bureau at 260-449-7411 or dispatch at 260-449-3000.
