CHICAGO _ An effort to restrict transgender bathroom and locker room access at a suburban Chicago high school has ended. U.S. District Judge Jorge Alonso on Monday approved the dismissal of a lawsuit at District 211 in Palatine. SENT: 150 words.


—CHICAGO-CHILD KILLED-TRIAL: The trial has started for a man accused of fatally shooting a 7-year-old during a gang fight in 2012.
