St. Mary’s marks National Doctors’ Day with luncheon
HUNTINGTON — On Wednesday, St. Mary’s Medical Center invited physicians, residents and fellows to a special luncheon at St. Mary’s Regional Heart Institute to celebrate National Doctors’ Day.
National Doctors’ Day is a holiday each year on March 30 that honors physicians for the work they do for their patients, the communities they work in and for society as a whole. The day recognizes not only what doctors contribute to the institution but also what their work means to the entire region — not limited to Huntington.
As part of the St. Mary’s celebration, the medical center made a $5,000 donation to the Huntington City Mission on behalf of all doctors who serve patients at St. Mary’s.
