Florida Associated Press Broadcasters will hold its annual dinner and awards ceremony on Saturday, April 13, at the Wyndham Orlando Resort in Orlando. Registration and cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and award presentations at 7 p.m.

The deadline for purchasing tickets is Sunday, April 7. Tickets may be purchased for $85.00 on Eventbrite under “2019 Florida Associated Press Broadcasters Awards Banquet”. A list of contest finalists can be found at discover.ap.org/contests/florida. The first and second place awards will be presented during the banquet.

HOTEL ROOMS: The Wyndham Orlando Resort has rooms available at the group rate of $142 per night. The deadline to reserve a room at the group rate is Friday, March 22. After that date, the Wyndham cannot guarantee the group rate will be available. Please make your reservations online at https://book.passkey.com/e/49712914.

The Florida Associated Press College Workshop and Awards Ceremony takes place on the morning of Saturday, April 13, also at the Wyndham Orlando Resort.

Registration will begin at 8:30 am with coffee and refreshments provided. The college session begins at 9:00 am with a panel discussion with broadcast professionals, followed by breakout sessions. The college awards will be distributed after the breakout sessions. Students will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with news professionals to discuss their work.

Registration is required for the college awards and the one-on-one sessions. There is no cost to students for this workshop. The one-on-one sessions will be scheduled in 10-minute increments on a first come, first served basis.
