Authorities identify 2 men killed in fiery New Jersey crash
GLEN RIDGE, N.J. (AP) — Authorities have released the names of two men killed in a fiery crash in northern New Jersey this week.
Essex County prosecutors say a car driven by Galo Flores struck a light pole around 10 p.m. Monday in Glen Ridge. The impact caused the car to hit a tree and catch fire.
The 25-year-old Harrison man was killed in the crash, along with his passenger, 20-year-old Carlos Nieves of Newark. Authorities say they were the only two people in the car and they were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities say it doesn’t appear that any other vehicles were involved.
