Police Log: Caller thinks pie sale is a cover up

These logs are the highlights of initial emergency calls and reports to the Douglas County Dispatch Center. They do not represent all of the incidents or their final outcomes.



Douglas County sheriff

1:52 a.m. — Caller can hear someone driving recklessly and spinning out tires at the intersection of Carnes Road and Happy Valley Road, Roseburg.

3:13 a.m. — Unattended death reported in Sutherlin.

8:02 a.m. — A man is harassing the caller, placing crosses along the road near her house and posting on Facebook that she’s part of the KKK in Winston.

1:37 p.m. — A man is smoking with all the windows up and a child in the backseat in the 200 block of Pruner Road, Riddle.

2:59 p.m. — A man threatened to beat up the caller and brandished a pistol after the caller asked what he was doing in the 400 block of Main Street, Canyonville.

3:26 p.m. — Unattended death reported in Glendale.

4:23 p.m. — Caller thinks the pie sale is a cover up for children being sold in the 100 block of Pacific Avenue, Glendale.

4:48 p.m. — Neighbors are burning a large pile of horse manure in the 400 block of North Side Road, Sutherlin.

6:13 p.m. — One of the caller’s alpacas has been shot or attacked in the 1300 block of Cleveland Hill Road, Roseburg.


10:22 a.m. — Semi trailer on fire near milepost 91 on Interstate 5, Canyonville.

Douglas County sheriff

Jennifer Colleen Dompier, 45, of Wolf Creek, on suspicion of second-degree theft, methamphetamine possession and providing false information to a police officer.

Cameron Gene White, 18, of Roseburg, on suspicion of unauthorized motor vehicle use and stolen vehicle possession.

Myrtle Creek police

Nicholas Michael Bennett, 31, of Myrtle Creek, on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass, third-degree theft and a probation violation.

Roseburg police

Donovan Joseph Spontini, 26, Roseburg, first-degree forgery, first-degree theft, third-degree theft and failing to appear on a criminal citation.

Tracy La Faye Westhusin, 45, of Medford, on suspicion of harassment, third-degree theft and two counts of failing to appear on a criminal citation.
