Aiken County Planning Commission to hold work session and meet Thursday
A work session and a meeting are on the Aiken County Planning Commission’s schedule Thursday.
The work session will start at 5 p.m., and the meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
Both will be held in the Sandlapper Room at the Aiken County Government Center.
During the work session, tiny houses, subdivision sidewalk installation and other matters will be discussed.
On the agenda for the Planning Commission meeting that will follow are three preliminary plat approval requests involving the Clairbourne subdivision, The Summit at Flat Rock and phase IV of the Vancouver Station at Trolley Run community.
The Clairbourne subdivision request is for 32.89 acres in the Mustang Drive area in Graniteville. The applicant is Clairbourne LLC, and the engineer is Southern Partners Inc.
The Summit at Flat Rock request is for 12.6 acres in the Flat Rock Lane area in Graniteville. The applicant is Sage Mill Residential Ltd. and the engineer is Hass & Hilderbrand.
The Vancouver Station Phase IV request is for 9.5 acres in the Keagen Boulevard area northwest of Aiken near Graniteville.
Also on the agenda, under old business, is a request for a preliminary plat approval for a proposed private road and another request for reconsideration of a proposed PUD-Type B rezoning amendment.
The proposed private road would be located near Pearl Bonnet Road near Windsor and would be named Tandem Trail.
The applicant is Don Houck, and the engineer is Rikard Enterprises LLC.
The rezoning reconsideration request is for an area near Anderson Pond Road near Aiken.
The applicant is Christia R. Ashmore, and the engineer is Southern Partners Inc.
The Aiken County Government Center is at 1930 University Parkway in Aiken. The Sandlapper Room is on the first floor.
