Police blotter for Sept. 9, 2018
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
An officer met with an assistant principal at Leavelle McCampbell Middle School in Graniteville after a teacher reported that a strong odor of marijuana seemed to be emitting from some students in her classroom. The assistant principal stated a search was conducted and a small blue bag containing a green, leafy substance consistent with marijuana and a smoked marijuana cigarette were found inside a subject’s shoe. The subject stated he fell asleep in the classroom and woke up to the substance inside his shoe. A pouch of Swisher Sweet cigarillos and a lighter also were found in his shoe. Juvenile investigators were notified. The officer placed the substance found into evidence for analysis. The subject was released to his mother.
A Warrenville man, 37, was arrested Friday and charged with simple larceny of copper wire from a site on Marshall Street in Graniteville. He was transported to the Aiken County detention center.
An Aiken man reported Friday that an unknown subject entered his residence and took items without his permission.
A Warrenville man, who resides on Whaley Street, was arrested Saturday and charged with disorderly conduct and trespass after notice at a business on Augusta Road. The subject was transported to the Aiken County Detention Center for booking.
An Aiken woman reported Friday that two vehicles parked at her residence on Newman Circle were damaged in a hit and run by an unknown subject.
An Aiken man, who resides on Kalmia Circle, reported a domestic incident Friday.
An Aiken man, who resides on Hazel Drive, reported a domestic incident Friday.
An Aiken man, who resides on Barnwell Avenue, reported Friday an unknown subject took his bicycle from a convenience store.
A Warrenville woman, who resides on Railroad Avenue, reported a domestic incident Friday.
