Lexmark Rolls Out New Printers
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) _ Lexmark International rolled out two new printers on Thursday that allow small businesses the ability to cheaply produce color documents, the company said.
Paul Rooke, Lexmark vice president, said the printers fill a niche between desktop printers in the home and the professional printers in larger corporations.
``Many want that color laser but can’t afford it,″ Rooke said.
Lexmark’s J110 starts at $899 and uses a LiquidLaser technology to allow laser-quality copies to be made without the expensive paper made for laser printers.
Lexmark’s C720 printer can also function as a fax, color copier and scanner, the company said.
The C720 models range in price from $1,999 to $2,799, the company said.
