Hasselhoff Developing Restaurants
LAS VEGAS (AP) _ ``Baywatch″ is diving into the restaurant business.
David Hasselhoff, star and producer of the syndicated beach show, is working with a group of Las Vegas investors to develop Baywatch Restaurant Cafes and Nightclubs.
The first is expected to open in Miami Beach in late 1999. Other sites under review include Las Vegas, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York.
John Thall, president and chief operating officer for World Entertainment Ltd. LLC., said the restaurants will feature live music and interactive entertainment.
``We hope all our servers will look like movie stars,″ he added. ``One of the unique things is all of the help will have the opportunity to try out for a part on `Baywatch.‴
The restaurants will offer a menu heavy on seafood. A typical dinner for two should cost about $35 to $40, Thall said.
