‘Travel’ to Australia, New Zealand at Monroe
MONROE — From 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library, 733 Monroe Turnpike, will host “Travelogues with Enid: Australia and New Zealand.”
Join everyone’s friend and favorite former Monroe chemistry teacher, Enid Lipeles for a tour through the land down under. Australia contains both natural and monumental lands. See the red rocks of Uluru (Ayers Rock) rising out of Australia’s “red center.” Visit the Sydney Opera house and nearby 200-foot high bridge, and sweep across the Great Barrier Reef. Of course kangaroos, koalas, emus and camels abound. In New Zealand, participants will see the majestic mountains where Lord of the Rings was filmed.
Registration is required for this event. Register here.
