Razor blade found at Rapid City playground

July 31, 2018

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) — City employees have been checking playgrounds in Rapid City after a razor blade was found attached to some equipment at one park.

A family found the razor blade last week attached to playground equipment at Thomson Park and called the city’s Parks and Recreation Department. Park workers were able to remove the blade before anyone was hurt.

KOTA-TV says other parks and playgrounds have been searched since the blade was found at Thomson.

City spokesman Darrell Shoemaker says the last time a razor blade was found on playground equipment in Rapid City was three years ago at College Park.
