Sewickley Valley YMCA will sponsor a holiday-themed parent and child event Painting for Autism from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 4 in Hunter Gym at the YMCA, 625 Blackburn Road, Sewickley.

Children who are at least 6 years old and are accompanied by a parent or guardian are welcome. Aprons will be provided and participants will create a painting of a holiday tree. There will be a silent auction and photos of participants will be taken and framed to take home.

Cost is $20; and $10 for children, for members and non-members.

Reservations are required. For reservations, stop in at the front desk at the YMCA or visit the reservation website. Proceeds will benefit the free Aquatics Spectrum program at the YMCA that provides swim lessons for youth with autism.

Antioch Baptist Church will host a Youth Day beginning at 10:45 a.m. Nov. 11 at the church, 332 Elizabeth St.

The Rev. Tamela Walker, associate minister at Macedonia Baptist Church, Duquesne, will be the guest speaker. A pizza party will be served after the service.
