Officials: Motorcycle collides with police cruiser

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Police in New Jersey say an officer and a motorcyclist were injured in a crash.

NJ.com reports the crash happened Sunday afternoon in Freehold Township. The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office says the Freehold police officer’s vehicle collided with a motorcycle at an intersection.

Both drivers were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment. Authorities didn’t disclose the extent of either driver’s injuries.

No further details were immediately available. An investigation is ongoing.
