More than 1,200 calls responded to in September

The Putnam Herald WINFIELD — The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department during the month of September responded to 1,279 calls for assistance, and made 31 felony arrests and 47 misdemeanor arrests, according to a news release from Sheriff Steve Deweese.

The Road Patrol also investigated 55 auto crashes, and issued 18 misdemeanor citations.

Furthermore, the Road Patrol arrested six DUIs and completed 144 written complaints, and served 42 warrants and 15 Domestic Violence Petitions in person.

Home Confinement averaged 41 inmates with 191 home verifications, and Western Regional Jail averaged 88 inmates per day. Process division served 326 civil papers.

The Tax Office accepted 56 concealed carry permits and issued 52 permits; 861 DMV decals were also issued.
