Lunenburg Gets Grant to Reduce Impaired Driving

December 19, 2018

LUNENBURG -- The town was awarded a state grant to increase patrols and cut down on impaired driving during the holiday season.

The $1,750 grant is through the state’s Highway Safety Division through the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.

Lunenburg will join police departments across Massachusetts and the State Police to participate in the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.

The message of the campaign is “Plan Ahead. Get a Ride” by arranging to have a sober driver, using public transportation, or using a ride-sharing service before drinking.
