AmWest Announces Executive Changes

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) _ America West Airlines announced Tuesday that Jeffrey McClelland, executive vice president of operations, will assume the additional title of chief operating officer.

The company also announced the promotion of chief information officer Joseph Beery to senior vice president and the elections to vice president of Larry Massaro to oversee airport customer service and field stations and David Seymour to oversee operations control and planning.

Stephen Johnson, executive vice president of the corporate section, has announced his resignation. He will not be replaced. The legal affairs, corporate affairs, human resources and real estate divisions that reported to Johnson will now report directly to chairman and chief executive Douglas Parker. The labor relations division, which previously reported to Johnson, will now report to McClelland.
