Patriots Release Bjornson
FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) _ The New England Patriots released tight end Eric Bjornson on Wednesday and signed offensive tackle Josh Rawlings and wide receiver Curtis Jackson.
Bjornson started six games this season, and caught 20 passes, two for touchdowns, for 152 yards. The Patriots had signed him as an unrestricted free agent in February.
Bjornson played five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. In the past six seasons, he has 147 career receptions for 1,384 yards and six TDs.
Rawlings returned to the Patriots after spending much of this season on the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad. Jackson was signed off the St. Louis Rams’ practice squad.
